(This post was written prior to 2016, in a blog entitled “Jubal’s Jottings.”)

After all my lamenting about Christmas “worship” services, I finally attended one that had what I was looking for – not that it’s all about me, but in part it IS about me! This service had a nice direction, smoothly including everything from organ, to band, to choir, to prayer, to orchestra, to modern and traditional, to participation, to… YAY! I still ask why it seems to be so hard? It shouldn’t be, though I know the pressures of the season are pretty intense on many levels at times.

Jubal…I wish you could have been there. You would have been happy with your protégés on their instruments!
